Joburg Theatre in association with the City of Johannesburg, Joburg City Parks and Zoo, and City Power, invites you to experience the magic of the annual Festival of Lights at the Joburg Zoo.
From Thursday to Sunday, 7pm – 10pm, the zoo transforms into a breathtaking wonderland, featuring an enchanting display of illuminated, life-size animal structures with a night market offering delicious food, live entertainment and a designated walking route that offers a peaceful, safe, and magical experience under the stars away from the animals’ enclosures.
Whether you’re looking for a unique night out with loved ones, quality family time, or a festive outing with friends, the Festival of Lights promises an unforgettable atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

Tickets are available at R75 for kids 3 – 12, R100 for pensioners and R175 for kids 12+ and adults, Kids under 3 free entrance.
