The end of year shows for students of the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy will include all age groups in various plays. Students between the ages of 5 years to adults will take part in this exciting event that is held annually at the Roodepoort Theatre.
On the 24th, 25th and 26th of November students from various studios of the Academy will entertain audiences with various plays.
Each production will involve various age groups – five to eight; eight to twelve; thirteen to eighteen and eighteen and older. At Helen O’Grady it’s not just the acting or performing, these students work well together and they learn life skills, which helps them to gain confidence and to be a good communicators.
The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy, started in Australia and their curriculum is structured over a seven year cycle to ensure that children never have to repeat a lesson.
Locally, the Academy is found all over Johannesburg and have various classes running all over South Africa. If you’re interested in taking part they have space available for students to enrol.
