B Sharp Music Academy will be celebrating this year’s Africa Day by presenting its inaugural annual music lecture on the life and music of the legendary South African composer PJ Simelane.
Choral music in South Africa has deep cultural roots and influences and the audience will be taken on a journey to get to know the inspiration behind each composition that will be presented on the day by B Sharp Music Academy’s talented group of artists. With a few notable crowd favourites that were penned down by this great composer, you are surely going to have a wave of nostalgia sweeping over you as memories of the good old days unfold as we take you through the programme. This is also an opportunity for a new audience to acquaint themselves with the music and have a choral music experience that will make a lasting impression.
