Jozi Community Theatre and Dance Festival is a three day festival of all forms of the arts presented by Amukelani Theatre in partnership with Roodepoort Theatre.
In its second year, the festival offers amateur groups from the City of Johannesburg, a real life experience of performing at a professional theatre stage with an audience.
The festival offers something for everyone from drama, dance, music and poetry. For Gauteng arts lovers the Festival offers top entertainment for free.
Roodepoort Theatre , recognises the importance of growing talent in South African townships. More importantly, the need to produce great stories and untold stories as a form of preserving the authenticity of our communities. The Theatre, allows for greater access to theatre and embraces new talent and promotes active participation by disadvantaged communities in the performing arts, through partnership agreements.
